Argument between Moyes and owners blamed for Hammers’ double transfer failure

West Ham faced a problem in the summer transfer window.

David Moyes’s Hammers side have seen several transfer targets slip through their fingers, including former midfielder and loanee Jesse Lingard, who completed a surprise move to Nottingham Forest on Thursday.

Another player closely associated with the move to the London Stadium is Villarreal winger Arno Danjuma.

However, despite their keen interest, the talented former Bournemouth striker, who has been wanted by the club’s owners, will not move to Hammers after Moyes withdrew a potential deal in order to pursue Lingard.

After the disappointment of losing both goals, Moyes and the Hammers board are believed to have fallen out over the club’s transfer activity, or lack thereof.

Although the Scottish tactical’s position is not under threat, fans will worry he could look to move forward if he is not properly backed through the remainder of the summer market.
