Crystal Palace and West Ham are gearing up to battle for Dwight McNeill this summer, as they look to bolster their attacking options by attacking the 22-year-old’s relegated Burnley.
McNeil had had a season last forgotten, contributing only to an individual assist as he couldn’t stop Clarett from being relegated from the English Football League on the final day.
But in the previous season, the Englishman made 7 goals, and his 134th appearance in the Premier League showed that he could certainly cut him off at the top level even at just 22.
For both Hammers and Patrick Vieira, the winger is likely to represent a backup and rotation option, with Palace and West Ham both in wide areas at the moment.
If they want to add McNeil to their ranks, they will likely have to find a fee of around £15m, which based on his experience and age doesn’t seem overly bold. For their part, Burnley need to keep raising money despite the sale of Nathan Collins to Wolves earlier in the summer.

West Ham dealt a double kick
Despite the interest in McNeill, the transfer window will not be entirely planned for David Moyes this summer, as Irons looks set to be defeated by signing Jesse Lingard by Nottingham Forest, who are more than willing to match their £180,000-a-week fee. Wage demands on the part of the previous loan.

Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel has Alleged interference In their possible move to Armando Bruga and are keen to keep Albani and Stamford Bridge this season, which could end their pursuit of young talent.
Worse, new defender Nayef Aguerd, whose cost is £30m, was forced out just minutes after his Hammers debut with an ankle injury, with David Moyes revealing he did not know the severity of the problem.
We have already x-rayed Naif and there was no fracture in his ankle, which is good news. He may have some ligaments or he has sprained his ankle. He told the media after the match, which the Hammers lost 3-1.
