The only Premier League clash on Tuesday took place shortly before. The aforementioned match witnessed the two arch-rivals Liverpool and Manchester United facing each other at Anfield.

Virgil van Dijk (6) – Strong first half but lost his temper somewhat in the second half 45 as United put more pressure.

Joel Matip (7) – Excellent defensively and also got an initial assist for the second Liverpool.

Andy Robertson (7.5) – Well done stealing possession from Ilanga and starting the attack that led to 3 for Liverpool.research and development today. An absolute work force at night, too.

Fabinho (7) – Sound defensive, threats by Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard.

Thiago (9) – Another great performance from Thiago in midfield, controlling play with his slick passes, starting attacks with his brilliant vision and also causing United midfield and defense problems due to shots on goal.

Jordan Henderson (6) – He was overtaken by Thiago that night but it was still a solid outing.

Mohamed Salah (9) – A great ball for Diaz early to open the scoring before he scored his goal after 15 minutes and then a second goal in 84 minutes.

Sadio Mane (9) – Well-connected play as Roberto Firmino, including plummeting deep to start the move that put Diaz up 1-0. Mane’s ball in second for the Reds was great too. He finished with a superb display with a goal after 67 minutes.

Luis Diaz (8) – He showed great speed and composure to finish Salah’s cross and set up Mane’s goal.

David De Gea (4) – The distribution with his feet is still poor, and he conceded three goals.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (4.5) – He didn’t make a single fatal mistake, but like the rest of United’s defence, he was largely ineffective.

Harry Maguire (3) – Pulled from his spot in Diaz’s opener.

Victor Lindelof (3) – Lindelof was all over the place defensively, unable to track Diaz and Mane and it was his weak ball to Ilanga that led to Liverpool’s attack that made Sadio Mane score 3-0.

Phil Jones (3) – He simply didn’t have the speed to keep up with Liverpool’s top three. Hooked in the first half.

Diogo Dalot (4) – Had an absolute nightmare dealing with Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah in the first half before switching to right-back at the break where he was less terrible.

Nemanja Matic (5) – Really struggled to deal with Thiago’s wit and wit.

Paul Pogba (1) – Mane didn’t lock up before he slipped into Salah. Nine minutes after the injury.

Bruno Fernandez (4.5) – Very poor pass from Fernandes by his usual standards. His pressure was also missing.

Marcus Rashford (4) – Barely touched the ball all night, had no shots on or off target. His pressure was very bad.

Anthony Ilanga (4) – Like Rashford, Ilanga was out of service but also didn’t help himself due to his lack of pressure, especially in the first 45.
