A new update on Manchester City’s pursuit of Erling Haaland surfaced on Tuesday afternoon.
This, of course, follows news late on Monday night that Manchester City have agreed terms with representatives from Norway.
The Daily Mail reports that a “appropriate financial package” – which would make Haaland the highest-paid player in the Premier League – has been approved.
The report added that Man City are now expected to activate Haaland’s £63m release clause:

And while that is all well and good, little has been reported on whether Haaland really wants to move to Manchester City.
Despite this, Athletic claim that Haaland gave the green light to move to Manchester City:

Haaland continues to shine
If Manchester City get Haaland’s deal across the line, it would, on paper, make him one of the most formidable teams in world football.
City is indeed an elite team that can outsmart just about anyone, but having someone with a goal-scoring instinct at Haaland is sure to give them an edge over most teams.
Haaland scored 82 goals and assisted 23 in 85 matches for Borussia Dortmund, and 23 in 19 Champions League matches for Russia Dortmund and RB Salzburg combined.
