West Ham received a boost ahead of the second leg of the Europa League quarter-final with Lyon, with a win likely to lead to a semi-final clash with Barcelona.
At the moment the confrontation is set up superbly at 1-1, with Jarrod Bowen’s goal disallowed by Tanguy Ndombele’s equalizer on the hour mark of the first leg at London Stadium.
And while the London side will be without Aaron Cresswell, who was ordered to walk in the first half of the first leg, they have received good news from the French camp.
This comes as a reliable French port to liberate, who reported that three of the Lyon players are suspicious in the second leg. Tanguy Ndombele, Houssem Al-Aawar and Anthony Lopez all have doubts about the confrontation after their team’s 1-1 draw with Strasbourg in the French Ligue 1.
π Tanguy Ndombele after #WHUOL: “In 11 for 10, we conceded a goal. We had to settle for a draw today. It’s good to score, but I would have preferred the team to win. We will prepare well for the second leg, and Strasbourg this weekend.” pic.twitter.com/GxvbRirl8a

All three players were sacked when Lyon faltered in a draw again in Ligue 1 this season, and L’Equipe reported that both El Aouar and Ndombele suspected a muscle strain, which would certainly rule them out against the Hammers.
Another great European night for West Ham?
David Moyes has led his side to beat Sevilla already in an unforgettable season for the club, and could add to his resume Thursday night another big night in France if he is able to orchestrate a win over struggling Lyon.
The semi-final match, potentially with Barcelona, ββwill be the biggest night in Hammers history.
