Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has urged his teammates to prepare to suffer as they did on Saturday against Aston Villa.
Antonio Conte’s side set four goals against Aston Villa on Saturday night to continue their impressive run.
However, the match was not as easy for Tottenham as I expected the result, especially in the first half of the match when Villa created a number of chances and forced Lloris to save some good chances.
Now, the Frenchman is discussing Antonio Conte’s impact at Spurs as well as sending a message to his teammates about the need to suffer:
“Since day one under Antonio Conte, we can feel better, we can feel the way he wants us to play,” said Lloris. Standard Sport. “We had difficulties in February with some defeats that damaged the confidence of the team.
“But with repeated work, we are at the level we are today. But this is not the time to lower our level, we need to push until the end.
“We all enjoy playing together, suffering together. Again Saturday’s battle was big, and frankly, the Villa players deserve a lot of recognition. It was like a storm in the first half, we missed a lot of chances but we survived. Then we knew we had quality.”
“We can still improve in a lot of aspects of the game and we can get more experience as a team under Antonio. I am sure the difficult moment we had in February will help us now and in the future – I think it was part of the process and most importantly sticking to the fundamentals. And continue to work this way.
“But this league is very difficult and every game is very difficult, as we saw on Saturday. We have to be ready to suffer at some points, as we did in the first half.”

Tottenham on the rise
Tottenham’s victory over Villa put them first to finish fourthy place in the Premier League.
Arsenal are just three points away from their north London rival with a game in hand.
However, Tottenham have a goal difference of 10 better than Arsenal, who have fallen dramatically since Kieran Tierney and Thomas Partey lost through injury.
